Keith began his IT career while serving with the US Marine Corps in 1972 working on main frame and radar systems. Upon his retirement in 1993 he worked for various IT Support organizations. During the early 90s there were millions of small and medium sized businesses being ignored by the big IT support companies so Keith decided to start Azure Horizons to help SMBs (small and medium sized businesses) achieve the same success as the larger companies but at a fraction of the cost.
He holds a B.S in Computer Systems from Alameda University and certifications with Microsoft, Cisco and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional. In his free time Keith likes to read hard covered books and manuals. He is a retired Marine veteran and is a proud supporter of the American Legion.
Chris’s journey into the IT world started through music. After graduating from Illinois State University he enrolled at DeVry Technology Institute with the thought of working in the music/audio equipment field. But as the PC and cell phone boom erupted Chris found himself networking all kinds of machines and equipment. After realizing he really enjoyed doing IT work he started his own computer repair and managed services company. In 2013 his company, Abacus Technical Solutions, was acquired by Azure Horizons.
Chris has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Keller School of Management and is a Microsoft, Small Business Server, A+, Network +, and Security + certifications. He enjoys jamming on the guitar, brewing his own beer, and spending time with his family.
Kristen Koehler is the newest member to join Azure Horizons and currently runs our sales and marketing department. She comes to us with a BA from Northeastern Illinois University and many years developing client relationships in the small to medium business field. Kristen enjoys the benefits technology plays in everyday life but leaves the “geek speak” to our certified technicians. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her son, cheering for Chicago sports teams, and reading.
